The Platform periodically gathers every two months and it has the right to call for exceptional meetings according to the need and based on the suggestions of the participants. The Platform takes consensus of the participants as a way for taking decisions and it’s not possible in any way to use voting. Assistance Coordination Unit shall take the role of meetings invitations and logistical arrangements while the Legal Experts Team shall take the role of putting the technical content of the meeting in consultation with the participants and according to what is urgent to discuss in the Syrian Legal Domain.
After nine years from the eruption of the Syrian Revolution in 2011 and with the decrease of the military works, the legal file comes on the top of the cases raised by the revolution.
To complement the outputs of the first consultative meeting, the second consultative meeting was held, which was titled “Human Rights Needs and Coordination Mechanisms in the Short and Long Term”
